FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Philadelphia, PA - September 20, 2009 - Members of five firms involved with The Learning Lab at WHYY participated in an on-air corporate challenge on WHYY’s TV12. Led by Tim Calligan, partner at Aegis Property Group, representatives from Aegis, KSS Architects, Bruce E. Brooks & Associates, Keast & Hood Co. and Pennoni Associates manned the phones for five hours in support of WHYY’s September television membership drive.
In addition to staffing the phones and receiving viewer pledges of support, Tim Calligan participated in a brief on-air interview discussing The Learning Lab project. Currently under construction, The Learning Lab is a high tech learning environment where program participants will learn to tell their stories through the power of digital media. The project will be integrated with and expand WHYY’s existing Technology Center and is anticipated to be complete in May 2010.
“Aegis Property Group has worked closely with WHYY to help them realize their vision since the Technology Center project in the mid-90s,” says Tim Calligan. “We’re proud to support WHYY’s mission through a fun evening of volunteering on-air with project team members.”
Aegis Property Group is the project manager for The Learning Lab project. KSS Architects serves as the architect, Bruce Brooks & Associates is the consulting mechanical/electrical engineer, Keast & Hood is the structural engineering firm, and Pennoni Associates is the civil/landscape engineer.
