Groundbreaking for Barnes on the Parkway

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Philadelphia, PA - November 13, 2009 - TThe Barnes Foundation broke ground on the Barnes on the Parkway on Friday, November 13, with a ceremony on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway at 20th Street.

Many people came out for the event, including Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter;  Judge Marjorie O. Rendell, wife of Governor Ed Rendell; as well as philanthropists and art lovers.

Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects are the Architect on the project. Aegis Property Group is providing Project Management services, led by Partner-in-charge Bob Stoeckle and assisted by Meghan Madeira, Wale Mabogunje and Carl Freedman.

Bob Stoeckle, Carl Freedman, Wale Mabogunje, and Aegis President Jim Kinzig represented the firm at the groundbreaking.

The Museum is scheduled to open in 2012.
